Dr. Capizzi who is board certified by the American Board of Surgery has been practicing in West Islip for nineteen years performing hundreds of surgical procedures as well as saving lives as a Trauma Surgeon at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. More recently, he has increased his volume of breast cancer surgery offering his patients the latest in breast cancer care and technology.

Dr. Capizzi has three children, one of which aspires to be a Radiologist. In his off hours, he and his wife Ellen enjoy golfing and boating and have participated in, or hosted, many community functions.

Education

Dr. Capizzi graduated from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N. Y. and completed his postgraduate training at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N. Y. Since 2004, in an effort to remain at the cutting edge in breast cancer care, he has successfully completed additional courses and training.

Dr. Keith Durante, board certified by the American Board of Surgery, Has also been a practicing surgeon in the community of West Islip for more than 15 years. He has performed multiple procedures over the years in both general and vascular surgery and also serves as a Trauma Surgeon at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Durante, having been expertly trained at the prestigious Hope Heart Institute in Seattle, Washington, has been treating patients with venous disorders for many years. Since the summer of 2006, following extensive training, he provides his patients with revolutionary laser procedures for various venous arterial disorders.

Dr. Durante is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Surgery at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, N. Y. and has been published in the Annuals of Vascular Surgery. He and his wife, Kathleen, have three children and are involved in school activities as well as local fund raising events. The family enjoys skiing and many other family related activities.

Dr. Durante graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Following his postgraduate training at North General Hospital, The Mount Sinai Center, New York, N.Y., he served as Assistant Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Catholic Medical Center & Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica , N.Y.

Dr. Way Lee, board certified by the American Board of Surgery, previously affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital joined our practice in July of 2007. He has performed all aspects of general, advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery and also serves as a Trauma Surgeon at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Lee, completed his Fellowship for minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Columbia / Cornell Medical Center in New York.

Education

Dr. Lee graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ohio State University,with a B. S. in Pharmacology, Chemistry and obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine .
